I'm over-the-moon proud that my second poetry collection, a falling knife has no handle, is forthcoming from YesYes Books in 2018. It seems far off in the distance now, but I'm so close to a final draft of the manuscript and there are little pieces of the soon-to-be-finished product popping up all over.
+ The first issue of Rabble Lit features two boozy love letters, "are you in the weeds," which was written especially for the 2016 Cantab-Haley House Grudge Match show, & "if you salvage the spill," about clumsiness & heirloom glassware & family myth.
+ Issue 10 of Cloud Rodeo is home to two of the first poems written for the project, "without conferring, we both ask for a smoke & dagger" & "pour two fingers in my glass please."
+ Jellyfish, one of my favorite lit mags, was kind enough to include the title poem "a falling knife has no handle" alongside a snippet of another on-going project, "self-portrait, trust fall" in their 14th issue.
+ The current issue of Palaver houses "it matters less what I said than how you read it."
+ Sidekick Lit published an insomnia letter regarding "when I wait up half the night for you" with audio just in case you need me to read you to sleep.
